Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you use Mingzi, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information you give us

• Account details: your email address, name and password (stored hashed) when you create an account.
• Naming answers: when you order a personalized name, the answers you give (your current name, your preferences and anything you tell us about yourself), and the names we deliver. They are saved to your account.
• Payments: payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive your order details and whether the payment succeeded, never your full card number.
• Messages: what you write in support requests.

Information we don't collect

The name converter and name generator run in your browser. Names you type or generate are not sent to our servers.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited and features used, to understand what's useful.
• Device data: browser type and operating system, to keep the site working.
• Cookies and similar technologies: small files and identifiers stored in your browser. We use our own cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as language and theme. Analytics and advertising partners set their own cookies, described below. Where required, we ask before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time from Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page.

How we use information

• To run your account.
• To create and deliver the names you order.
• To reply to your requests.
• To improve our content, tools and naming quality.
• To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

AI processing

Some of our services use artificial intelligence. To provide them, we send the relevant information you give us, such as your answers when you order personalized names, to leading AI model providers, which process it to help generate results.

• We send only the information needed for the task, never your email address, account details or payment details.
• Your information stays private. The providers process it only to return results to us and don't use it to train their models.
• Please don't include sensitive personal information (such as health, religion or government ID numbers) in your answers. It isn't needed to choose a name.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read and how people arrive. With your consent, Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers; until you accept, it runs without cookies in Google's consent mode. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device and browser type. We don't send your name, email address or the names you type into our tools to Google Analytics. Learn more in Google's explanation of how it uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising

Some free content pages show ads served by Google AdSense.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• These vendors may also use web beacons, device identifiers and your IP address to measure ads, limit how often you see them and prevent fraud.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.com.
• We ask for your consent before ad cookies are set. Until you accept, ads are not loaded. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie Settings.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run Mingzi (hosting, payments, email, AI, analytics, advertising), when required by law, or with your consent. We don't sell your personal information.

Retention and your choices

We keep account information while your account is active and as needed for legal and accounting purposes. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing support@mingzi.io or opening a request.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows when it last changed.
